{Strength}

I was reading scriptures last night and came across this:
Doctrine and Covenants 1:23
"That the fulness of my gospel might be proclaimed by the weak and the simple unto the ends of the world."

I feel very weak and definitely very simple all the time. So I clicked on weak and it said to look in the Topical Guide at strength. I thought that was so interesting. Weakness lead me to strength. Weakness is strength if we turn to God. I love that. I can proclaim the gospel with power because I rely on God.

Logan texted me this on the day before he left:
"I know it's so hard to see the light so often. Sometimes fear clouds our senses. And that's not weakness, the courage to ask for help is strength. Ask for help and it will be there."

Sometimes I'm afraid. Afraid I'm not good enough, afraid of the future, afraid of right now, afraid I can't be a good missionary. But don't fear. I have God on my side. And God always wins.

"We have been told in latter day revelation that we must take the restored gospel to every nation and people. The Lord never gives us a commandment without preparing a way for us to accomplish it." (Gospel Principles Manual, Chapter 33)

That doesn't say "I'll prepare a way when you're 18 for boys and 19 for girls". God will prepare a way to spread the gospel RIGHT NOW. Wherever you are. So be strong and find the opportunities Heavenly Father is providing for you.

"He giveth power to the faint' and to them that have no might he increaseth strength." -Isaiah 40:29

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear." 1 John 4:18

Love one another and love God and Christ. And don't just love, but love with your whole heart. And if when you love you feel weak, don't worry, Christ will give you strength. And with that strength you can proclaim the gospel and help others feel of God's love and your love as well.

Sounds good to me.

Love, Kenz

  1. I love this! Thanks for sharing. It reminds me of the quote you have shared before:

    "The final outcome is certain - the forces of righteousness will win. But what remains to be seen is where each of us personally, now and in the future, will stand in this battle and how tall we will stand." President Benson.
